. Misri was born on November 7, 1964, in Srinagar, India, to a Kashmiri Hindu family 4
. He completed his early education at the Scindia School and obtained his undergraduate degree in history from the Hindu College of the University of Delhi. He also holds an MBA from the XLRI Xavier Labour Relations Institute, Jamshedpur 4
